MONCHENGLADBACH: Australia rebounded from the disappointment of an opening loss to record a convincing 4-0 win over Argentina in their second pool match at the men's hockey World Cup on Saturday.

The Kookaburras suffered a shock loss to Spain in their pool-A opener, but steadied to score three goals in seven minutes of the first half against Argentina.

Luke Doerner scored Australia's first goal.

Russell Ford, Michael McCann and Rob Hammond also got on the scoresheet.
